Hyderabad police have reportedly arrested Digvijay Singh, 50, a promoter and key associate of QNET, in connection with an alleged multi-level marketing (MLM) fraud case. According to the report, he was detained at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on October 13 while allegedly attempting to travel to Dubai. A Look Out Circular had reportedly been issued against him. Following his detention, personnel from the Hyderabad Central Crime Station’s Detective Department took him into custody at the airport police station and brought him to Hyderabad for questioning. Police reportedly seized two mobile phones and are expected to seek his custody for further investigation.
Investigators are examining suspected financial irregularities involving QNET and Vihaan Direct Selling Private Limited. Police have reportedly questioned 43 victims and identified suspicious transactions amounting to approximately ₹5 crore in the case under investigation. A bank account linked to Vihaan Direct Selling, containing around ₹4 crore, has also been frozen. According to the report, promoters allegedly attracted people through multi-level marketing, binary business models and e-commerce claims, promising high returns, commissions and foreign trips. Digvijay Singh allegedly promoted the scheme through Zoom meetings and social media platforms. Police reportedly estimate that related cases across India could involve a wider alleged fraud of up to ₹10,000 crore, potentially affecting large numbers of people. A case has reportedly been registered in Hyderabad under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Telangana Protection of Depositors of Financial Establishments Act and the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act. After obtaining transit remand from a Delhi court, police are expected to produce him before a Hyderabad court. The investigation is continuing, and the allegations remain subject to legal proceedings.
