Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed readiness to continue negotiations with the United States to bring an end to the war in Ukraine. He indicated that after a potential agreement with Iran, US representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may visit Russia for further discussions. Referring to previous talks held in Alaska with former US President Donald Trump, Putin noted that although no formal agreement was reached, Russia remains willing to build on earlier dialogue.
Meanwhile, Ukraine has intensified its strikes on Russian oil infrastructure. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that long-range drones destroyed two oil refineries in Russia, targeting revenue sources used for the war. In retaliation, Russian drone and missile attacks on Ukraine killed at least eight civilians and injured 35 others. The escalating attacks underscore rising tensions as both sides continue military operations.
