Punjab Police have uncovered an alleged espionage network accused of secretly sharing sensitive Indian military movement details with Pakistan. Authorities arrested a man identified as Baljeet Singh from Pathankot for allegedly installing surveillance cameras along the Pathankot-Jammu National Highway to monitor the movement of Indian Army and paramilitary vehicles. According to investigators, the accused was transmitting real-time footage and information to handlers linked to Pakistan.
Police officials stated that the accused used low-cost internet-based CCTV equipment installed at a local shop near the strategically important military corridor frequently used by Indian security forces. Investigators also revealed that instructions and financial support were allegedly being routed through Dubai, while the accused maintained contact with Pakistan’s ISI operatives. Security agencies are continuing searches for others linked to the network, and security has been tightened around military installations in Pathankot following the revelations.
