A SIM card reportedly issued in the name of a Punganur resident has surfaced during the investigation into the case involving former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda’s son and MP Prajwal Revanna. Karnataka Police began investigating after a phone was reportedly found in Revanna’s possession at Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara prison. Investigators reportedly traced the SIM card to a person named Athavulla from Punganur.
Police reportedly visited Punganur and took Athavulla and Noor Ahmed, who runs Star Mobiles in Nagapalem, into custody before taking them to Bengaluru. Investigators are examining how the SIM card reached the prison, who used it and whether there was any connection between Revanna and people from Punganur. Locals have urged the authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and establish the facts.
