CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke has criticised the BJP-led Central government, alleging that it is focusing on suppressing protests in Delhi instead of prioritising the protection of India’s borders. Referring to reported clashes between Indian troops and Chinese forces along the border, Dipke questioned the government’s approach to national security. He alleged that forces meant to safeguard the country’s borders were being deployed to curb protests within India. In a statement shared on social media on Friday, he said the government should focus on protecting the India-China border rather than Delhi.
According to the report, ITBP chief Shatrughjit Kapoor recently stated that confrontations frequently occur along the India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh. He reportedly said that Indian personnel deployed in the region were carrying out their duties vigilantly and that the newly formed Shaurya commandos were working courageously. Against this backdrop, Dipke questioned the Centre’s priorities in deploying security forces. He alleged that the government was putting national security at risk by attempting to suppress protests by its own citizens and maintained that peaceful demonstrations should not be obstructed. Meanwhile, the Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) have also criticised the Centre over the border situation, describing it as a failure of the government.
