Prime Minister to Inaugurate Railway Projects

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate key railway infrastructure projects worth around ₹1,535 crore in Telangana on May 10. The major highlight includes the 118 km Kazipet–Vijayawada multi-tracking project, aimed at increasing line capacity on the busy Grand Trunk corridor. The project will improve train speed, reduce congestion, enhance punctuality, and strengthen freight movement across the region.

Additionally, the Kazipet Rail Under Rail Bypass will also be inaugurated. This strategic infrastructure will decongest Kazipet Junction by enabling smooth simultaneous train movements towards Hyderabad, Balharshah, and Vijayawada, thereby improving operational efficiency and reducing delays.
