

Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated 75 redeveloped Amrit Bharat railway stations across 20 states under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. As part of the nationwide initiative, the newly upgraded Hitech City Railway Station in Hyderabad was inaugurated via video conference from Jalandhar. The event also marked the launch of development projects worth nearly ₹25,000 crore across the country. Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Ravneet Singh, along with senior dignitaries, attended the national event, while local celebrations in Hyderabad were joined by MLC A.V.N. Reddy and South Central Railway General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava.
The redeveloped Hitech City Railway Station now features a modern station building, upgraded waiting halls, lifts, escalators, improved signage, and enhanced accessibility for differently abled passengers. Officials highlighted that railway projects worth over ₹40,000 crore are currently underway in Telangana. During the event, winners of essay, painting, and selfie competitions were felicitated. Separately, the Prime Minister also flagged off India's first hydrogen-powered train between Jind and Sonipat in Haryana, calling it a significant milestone under the Make in India initiative.
