President Droupadi Murmu to Visit Vijayawada Durga Temple

The Dasara Sharannavaratri celebrations at the Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada are continuing with religious fervour and large numbers of devotees. The festivities began on October 11, and the temple authorities and district administration are coordinating arrangements to facilitate convenient darshan and ensure the celebrations proceed smoothly.

Endowments Commissioner Ramachandra Mohan announced that President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the temple on October 14, the fourth day of the festivities. The President is expected to arrive in the evening and offer special prayers to Goddess Durga. Officials from the concerned departments have been instructed to coordinate closely and make comprehensive arrangements for the visit. Regional Joint Director of the Information Department T. Timmappa, Chief Festival Officer Trinadh Rao and other officials attended the meeting.
