Prakash Raj and Dhruv Rathee Back Protest Seeking CEC’s Resignation

The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is intensifying its protests, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the revision of electoral rolls. After holding demonstrations in Delhi and Mumbai, the party is set to organise a ‘Chappal Protest’ at Freedom Park in Bengaluru today. The demonstration, led by party founder and coordinator Abhijeet Deepke, is expected to draw people who allege that their names were unfairly deleted from voter lists, along with representatives of public and youth organisations.

According to the organisers, actor Prakash Raj, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee and student leaders Aishe Ghosh and Neha Bora are expected to extend their support to the protest. CJP leaders have warned that if CEC Gyanesh Kumar does not resign, they will organise a larger nationwide demonstration at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on October 10.
