Amid ongoing protests against the NEET paper leak, Shikhar Dhawan has come under heavy criticism on social media for his post perceived as supportive of the central government. Large numbers of youth are participating in demonstrations led by Cockroach Janata Party at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. While several celebrities have backed the students, Dhawan’s message urging patience and trust in institutions triggered widespread trolling, with netizens questioning his stance amid concerns over students’ futures.
In his statement, Dhawan emphasized the importance of respecting the dreams of youth while maintaining faith in institutions during difficult times. Meanwhile, Narendra Modi assured strict action against those involved in the paper leak, including the establishment of fast-track courts. Yuvraj Singh also called for a peaceful and dialogue-driven resolution. Protests continue across key areas in Delhi, with clashes reported between demonstrators and police, disrupting traffic and raising tensions.
