Possibility of Early Monsoon Arrival in Telangana

A tentative forecast suggests that the monsoon is likely to arrive in Telangana by the end of the first week or early second week of June. Weather experts indicate that the early northward movement of the Monsoon Intra-Seasonal Oscillation (MISO) could accelerate the monsoon’s progress into the region during the first half of June.

Despite the presence of El Nino conditions, a timely onset of the monsoon is expected this year. However, there are indications of a possible break monsoon phase during the latter half of June, though it remains uncertain at this stage. Experts caution that these projections are subject to change, especially if cyclonic activity develops in the Arabian Sea, which could alter the monsoon timeline.
