Police in Pune have approached the court seeking permission to conduct a polygraph (lie detector) test on the main accused, Siya Goyal, in a sensational murder case. The case involves the death of 26-year-old Ketan Agarwal, who was allegedly pushed off Lohagad Fort. Police stated that due to the lack of direct evidence and eyewitnesses, the polygraph test is necessary to advance the investigation.
The incident occurred on June 18, 2026, and allegations suggest that Siya Goyal conspired with her lover Chetan Chaudhary to commit the crime. Both accused have been arrested and are in custody until July 3. Investigative steps such as crime scene reconstruction, CCTV analysis, and mobile forensics are ongoing. Legal experts emphasized that the accused’s consent is mandatory for such tests, and the results are not admissible as primary evidence in court.
