Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed to citizens across India to take necessary precautions as the country faces rising temperatures and an intense heatwave. He urged people to stay hydrated, avoid exposure to harsh afternoon sun, carry water while travelling, and remain alert about their health during extreme weather conditions.
He also emphasized the importance of caring for elderly family members, advising regular check-ins, ensuring proper hydration, and minimizing outdoor activity during peak heat hours. Highlighting compassion, the Prime Minister encouraged citizens to place water bowls outside homes and public spaces for birds and animals, appreciating those already taking such humanitarian steps.
