Police have filed a 5,300-page chargesheet in the Ketan Agarwal murder case that has shocked Pune, bringing several details of the investigation to light. According to the chargesheet, the accused initially planned to take Agarwal to Bengaluru and break his arms and legs. One of the accused, Ritesh Hange, allegedly discussed the plan with a friend in Bengaluru, who opposed the idea. The chargesheet states that the accused later decided to kill Agarwal themselves.
According to the investigation, the accused allegedly watched murder-related films and used ChatGPT while planning the crime. They also reportedly listened to podcasts about avoiding the police. On June 6, Agarwal’s passport was allegedly torn up and discarded in a café washroom while he was travelling for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Investigators also found that a fake Instagram account named “Mahi” was created using a woman’s photograph to lure Agarwal to Lohagad Fort on June 18. Messages were allegedly sent through the account under the pretext of planning a surprise birthday celebration, after which the account was deleted.
