Pink Power Run 3.0 Draws 35,000 Participants in Hyderabad to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

Hyderabad witnessed a massive turnout for the third edition of the Pink Power Run 3.0, organised jointly by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) and the Sudha Reddy Foundation. More than 35,000 runners gathered at the HMDA Grounds near Hussainsagar and participated in the event aimed at promoting breast cancer awareness, the importance of early detection, women’s health and fitness. Runners took part in four categories — the 21K half marathon, 10K, 5K and 3K runs — with participants ranging from young children to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. The 21K event also attracted runners from several countries, including the US, UK, UAE, Ethiopia, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya and Canada.

The event was flagged off by Telangana Minister Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), DGP C.V. Anand, MEIL Group Managing Director P.V. Krishna Reddy, Sudha Reddy Foundation founder Sudha Reddy and other prominent personalities. Actor Siddu Jonnalagadda, former beauty queen Opal Suchata, professional boxer Vijender Singh and other celebrities participated and encouraged the runners. A total of ₹75 lakh in cash prizes was awarded across categories. Sunil Kumar and Sonam won the men’s and women’s 21K categories respectively, while Harish Sharin and Vandana Patel topped the 10K categories. Love Chaudhary and Anjali emerged winners in the men’s and women’s 5K categories. Live music by composer S.S. Thaman added to the festive atmosphere, while US Consul General Laura Williams also participated in the 10K run.
