Piduguralla Government Medical College Gets NMC Approval

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has granted approval for 100 MBBS seats at the Government Medical College in Piduguralla, paving the way for admissions from the 2026-27 academic year. The approval is expected to strengthen medical education and healthcare infrastructure in the Palnadu district.

The Government Medical College at Piduguralla was initiated during the tenure of former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as part of the state's ambitious plan to establish 17 new government medical colleges. According to available information, nearly 95 percent of the construction work was completed during the previous government. The institution is now set to commence academic operations with its first batch of MBBS students this year.
