In an extraordinary test of durability, a smartphone fitted with a heavy-duty shockproof case was dropped from an altitude of 30,607 metres above Sweden. The device was released from the stratosphere and endured an intense freefall lasting around 25 minutes, reaching extremely high speeds before landing. Remarkably, the phone was recovered in working condition, with no visible scratches or dents.
The dramatic experiment takes smartphone drop testing to an entirely new level. While phones can often suffer damage from relatively small falls, this device reportedly survived a drop from an extreme altitude thanks to its protective case. The unusual durability test has attracted attention as a remarkable achievement in smartphone protection technology and has reportedly earned a Guinness World Record.
