The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) disciplinary committee has issued notices to six people in connection with the alleged attack on Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna’s car in Dandepalli mandal of Mancherial district last month. The incident reportedly occurred when the MP had gone to attend an event organised by the Visakha Charitable Trust.
The committee met at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday under the chairmanship of PCC disciplinary committee chief Mallu Ravi. Following a complaint submitted by supporters of MP Vamsi Krishna, the committee decided to issue notices to Gaddam Trimurthy, Akkala Venkateshwarlu, Ankathi Srinivas, Muthyala Srinivas, Lakkakula Srujan and Akula Durga Prasad. The six have been directed to submit their explanations within one week.
The committee also issued notices in connection with other complaints involving party leaders and workers in different constituencies. Mallu Ravi said strict action would be taken against anyone working against the interests of the party. He appealed to party members to bring their grievances to Gandhi Bhavan instead of organising protests, warning that disciplinary action could follow.
