Pawan Kalyan Responds to Parawada Pharma City Video

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has responded to a video highlighting complaints of black-coloured water and foul smell in the Parawada Pharma City. Following the complaints, Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board officials conducted a field inspection and collected wastewater samples for testing. The PCB has also issued show-cause notices to 95 industries and directed them not to discharge wastewater into canals.

The PCB instructed industries to scientifically manage hazardous waste and make online monitoring mandatory. Officials were also advised to digitalise waste-management systems and strengthen continuous monitoring. The board warned that action would be taken against industries violating environmental regulations. A report on the inspection and the measures taken has been submitted to the Deputy Chief Minister’s office.
