The Andhra Pradesh government has launched a large-scale green initiative aimed at increasing greenery and ecological balance across the state. Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan, the Forest Department is preparing to distribute 2.5 crore seed balls as part of an ambitious environmental campaign. The initiative aims to promote biodiversity, environmental sustainability, and climate resilience.
The seed ball preparation drive will be conducted extensively in June with participation from students, youth, women’s self-help groups, government employees, NGOs, and environmental volunteers. During the monsoon season, the seed balls will be spread across the state using manual plantation, direct scattering, and drone technology. Pawan Kalyan stated that every seed ball represents a promise toward a greener and healthier future for coming generations.
