Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan underwent shoulder surgery in Mumbai on Saturday morning. Doctors revealed that he had severe rotator cuff injuries in both shoulders. After recent medical examinations, specialists advised him to undergo surgery at the earliest. However, due to previously scheduled official commitments, Pawan Kalyan decided to complete those programmes before undergoing the procedure.
Doctors stated that operating on both shoulders at the same time could cause severe pain and discomfort. Therefore, surgery was first performed on his right shoulder, which lasted for around three and a half hours. The injuries were reportedly linked to an old injury from 2016 and worsened during his political tours and election campaigns when party workers and fans pulled his hands. Surgery for the other shoulder is expected within two months.
