Pawan Kalyan Flags Off Kumki Elephants to Parvathipuram

Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister Pawan Kalyan welcomed trained kumki elephants Jayanth and Abhimanyu at the Mangalagiri camp office while they were being shifted from the Musalamadugu elephant camp in Palamaneru to the Gucchimi elephant camp in Parvathipuram Manyam district. He greeted the elephants with flowers, personally fed them, and flagged off the next phase of their journey. Pawan Kalyan also instructed Forest Department officials to ensure the animals' safety during transportation and provide proper care after they reached the new camp.

The relocation is part of the Andhra Pradesh government's plan to strengthen measures against recurring human-elephant conflicts in Parvathipuram Manyam district, where elephant herds frequently enter from Odisha and damage crops and property. The trained kumki elephants will help guide wild elephants back into forest areas, protecting villagers, farmers, and wildlife. Officials noted that Jayanth and Abhimanyu had earlier played a key role in several successful elephant management operations in the Palamaneru and Chittoor regions.
