Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan emphasized that every child has the constitutional right to safety, dignity, and a free life. Expressing concern over negligence in POCSO cases across Telugu states, he wrote separate letters to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad, urging strict implementation of the POCSO Act.
Pawan Kalyan stated that several complaints regarding delays in POCSO investigations have reached his office and many victims have been waiting for justice for years. He stressed the need for special guidelines to handle POCSO cases, treating them separately from regular cases.
