Parliament to Debate Student Protests Today

The Lok Sabha is set to discuss the recent student protests in Parliament today, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah expected to respond. Opposition parties had sought an explanation over the alleged police action against students in Delhi. The government agreed to the Opposition’s demand during the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting on Monday.

Meanwhile, leaders of the INDIA bloc are scheduled to meet today in Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s chamber in Parliament. The meeting is expected to focus on the strategy to be followed by the Opposition during the ongoing parliamentary proceedings.
