The Monsoon Session of Parliament will commence today and continue until August 13. During the session, the Central Government is expected to introduce several important Bills, including the Delimitation Bill, Women's Reservation Bill, FCRA Amendment Bill, Vande Mataram Bill, and the Vikasit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill. Political observers expect intense discussions on these proposed legislations.
The Opposition is preparing to corner the government over issues such as the NEET paper leak, the Ayodhya donation theft case, ethanol blending, and anti-defection matters. Opposition parties have also demanded an all-party meeting and wider consultations on the Delimitation Bill. Reports indicate that parties including the DMK and Sharad Pawar-led NCP have signaled support for the proposal, while the Centre is working to secure the required two-thirds majority before introducing the Bill, likely during the final week of the session.
