AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami criticised Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay over his political and administrative record. During an election campaign in the Dharapuram constituency in Tiruppur district, Palaniswami said Vijay had acted in 70 films but had not won a National Film Award for any of them.
Palaniswami said that while Vijay was a hero in films, he was a “zero” in administration. His remarks came amid the continuing political confrontation between the AIADMK and TVK in Tamil Nadu. The comments focused on Vijay’s transition from cinema to politics and his performance in governance.
