AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi has expressed concern over the demolition of mosques, dargahs, and other Muslim religious structures in the border districts of Bikaner, Phalodi, Jaisalmer, and Barmer in Rajasthan. After speaking with AIMIM Bikaner district president Shafi Jameel Qasmi, Owaisi stated that several religious sites had already been demolished and notices had reportedly been issued to many others.
While authorities have reportedly justified the actions on national security grounds, Owaisi argued that no residents of the affected areas had been linked to any such activities. He also alleged that even structures located on private land were being targeted under various administrative reasons. Calling the demolitions discriminatory and targeted, Owaisi urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene and ensure that the actions are stopped immediately.
