The Andhra Pradesh government has issued fresh orders to acquire land for the development of key ports in the state. In the second phase, the government has decided to acquire a total of 6,248.54 acres for the Moolapeta, Machilipatnam, and Ramayapatnam ports, aiming to accelerate infrastructure growth and maritime trade.
Administrative approval has been granted for land acquisition at an estimated cost of ₹1,638.52 crore. The plan includes 1,903.39 acres for Moolapeta Greenfield Port, 1,420.70 acres for Machilipatnam Port, and 2,924.45 acres for Ramayapatnam Port, marking a significant step towards strengthening port-led development in the state.
