Opposition Protest Halts Parliament Proceedings

Proceedings in both Houses of Parliament came to a standstill after Opposition members demanded an immediate discussion on the alleged paper leak issue and the Ayodhya donation matter. The protests intensified as members raised slogans inside the House, accusing the government of avoiding a debate on issues they described as being of public importance.

The Opposition also condemned the reported lathi-charge on young protesters, alleging that the government's response to public demonstrations was unacceptable. With repeated disruptions preventing normal business from continuing, the presiding officers adjourned both the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha until 12 noon.
