Notification Issued for New Liquor Shops in AP

The Andhra Pradesh Excise Department has issued a notification for 807 A4 liquor shops across the state. Of the 3,650 shops initially notified for renewal, 3,236 licensees opted for renewal, while 414 shops were left without renewal after the deadline ended at midnight on September 23. The remaining shops, along with previously unallocated outlets, have now been included in the fresh notification.

Applications for the 807 shops will be accepted until midnight on October 1. The Excise Department will scrutinise the applications thereafter and allot the eligible shops through a draw of lots. According to the latest reports, the scrutiny is scheduled for October 3, followed by the draw on October 5.
