Notices have reportedly been issued to YSRCP leaders across YSR district. In Pulivendula, Kadapa MP Y. S. Avinash Reddy received a notice, while in Kadapa, notices were issued to YSRCP district president Ravindranath Reddy and mayoral candidate Bandi Deepti Reddy. The notices reportedly direct them not to organise rallies or gather party workers in large groups.
Tensions have also been reported in Kamalapuram Nagar Panchayat. Police took YSRCP leader Naren Reddy into custody and shifted him from Kamalapuram to Kadapa. YSRCP leaders allege that large groups of TDP supporters from other areas gathered near nomination centres and claimed that police failed to act against them. They have urged the authorities to provide protection so their candidates can file nominations freely.
