Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman addressed the Credit Outreach Programme in Narasaraopet, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision is to ensure banks reach people directly with financial services. She said the government is providing guarantee backed, low-interest loans to street vendors, women, and small entrepreneurs, enabling them to expand their businesses without depending on private moneylenders.
She added that the NDA government has transformed the banking system by promoting transparent lending based on eligibility rather than influence. Sitharaman said the Narasaraopet programme reflects this change, with banks supporting entrepreneurs through financial assistance. She reiterated that the government's goal is to build a Viksit Bharat by 2047 through inclusive economic growth.
