NIA Probes Attack on Indian Pilot Aboard FlyDubai Flight

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has registered a case to investigate the attack on Captain Smit Machhar, an Indian national and pilot operating a FlyDubai aircraft. The agency has invoked the Anti-Hijacking Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in the FIR as part of its investigation into the incident.

According to the NIA, Captain Machhar was attacked in what it described as an apparent attempt to hijack or crash the FlyDubai aircraft. The agency will investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack and examine the alleged intent behind it.
