The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has achieved a significant milestone in the Aadhaar biometric update programme for school students across the country. Officials said that biometric details of more than 2 crore students have been successfully updated so far, strengthening efforts to keep Aadhaar records current.
The programme is integrated with UDISE+, enabling schools to easily identify the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) status of students. Since its launch in September 2025, special update camps have been organised across 1.56 lakh schools, helping students access Aadhaar biometric update services conveniently and quickly.
