New Pensions to Be Rolled Out in Andhra Pradesh From Next Month - Minister Lokesh

TDP national general secretary and minister Nara Lokesh has announced that new pensions will be provided in phases to all eligible beneficiaries across the state from October. Lokesh held a breakfast meeting with ministers at the Chief Minister’s camp office on Thursday ahead of the state Cabinet meeting. He directed officials to process pension applications promptly and resolve them on an ongoing basis.

Lokesh also said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is firm on holding local body elections in October under any circumstances, ruling out any possibility of postponement. He noted that September 9 will mark three years since their leader was allegedly booked in illegal cases and detained unjustly. Lokesh suggested organising a programme on the day to recall the challenges faced since then and highlight the government’s efforts to steer the state towards development.
