New Pensions in Andhra Pradesh...

The Andhra Pradesh government is reportedly working on a plan to provide around three lakh new social security pensions across the state. As part of the proposed exercise, applications for new pensions are expected to be accepted from September, with the distribution process likely to begin from October.

According to the proposed plan, widows and senior citizens may be given priority in the first phase of pension distribution. Beneficiaries from other eligible categories could be covered in subsequent phases. The government is expected to finalise the implementation process and issue further details regarding applications and eligibility.
