Nepal Floods Wreak Havoc.. Death Toll Continues to Rise

Severe floods in the Nepal-Tibet border region have triggered a major humanitarian crisis, with the death toll continuing to rise. According to the latest official reports, at least 270 people have died, while more than 100 bodies have reportedly been recovered in Chitwan.

Hundreds of people remain unaccounted for across the affected areas. Nepal authorities have reported 826 people missing, including local residents, foreign tourists and pilgrims. The Nepal Army, police and other security forces are conducting extensive search, rescue and relief operations. Damaged roads and bridges are making access difficult, but efforts to trace missing people and assist survivors are continuing.
