Nepal Flood Death Toll Rises

Nepal continues to grapple with the aftermath of severe floods and related natural disasters, with the death toll reportedly rising to 538. Authorities have announced that 121 foreign nationals have been rescued so far. The rescued group includes 85 Indian nationals, 16 Chinese citizens, eight South Koreans, two Americans, two Russians and two Italians. Rescue and relief operations remain underway across the affected areas.

Rescue teams have intensified operations to evacuate people reportedly trapped inside the Rasuwagadhi tunnel. Meanwhile, China’s Foreign Ministry has attributed the disaster to a glacier collapse and said efforts are being made to rescue foreign nationals affected by the crisis. With several areas still facing difficult conditions, rescue teams continue to focus on locating missing people and providing assistance to those stranded in the affected regions.
