Nepal Battles Heavy Rains as Rising Rivers Disrupt Rescue Operations

Heavy rains have intensified the situation in several parts of Nepal, with water levels in the Trishuli River rising significantly. The increased flow has added to concerns in vulnerable areas, while the weather has created further challenges for rescue and relief teams. At the Gandaki Barrage, the water flow has reportedly reached around one lakh cusecs, prompting authorities to remain on high alert.

More than 15,000 security personnel are involved in rescue and relief operations across the affected areas. Rescue teams have reportedly managed to evacuate more than 4,400 people so far. However, adverse weather conditions have forced authorities to suspend rescue operations temporarily. Officials are expected to resume the operations when weather conditions improve and continue monitoring river levels and flood-prone areas.
