A group of around 70 outgoing students from NALSAR University of Law in Hyderabad has asked the university to reconsider its decision to invite Chief Justice of India Surya Kant as the chief guest for the 2026 convocation. The students submitted a representation to the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, professors and administration, urging them to review the invitation.
Inviting the Chief Justice of India to deliver the convocation address has been a longstanding tradition at NALSAR. The latest representation seeks a change to that practice for this year’s ceremony, with the students asking the university authorities to reconsider the choice of chief guest.
