Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal has introduced the National Commission for Men Bill, 2025, in Parliament. The proposed Bill aims to establish a statutory body to protect men's rights, address grievances, recommend policy reforms, and promote gender neutral justice, welfare, and legal protection for men across India.
The Bill comes in the wake of the Ketan Agrawal murder case, which has renewed discussions on institutional support for male victims. Supporters say the legislation seeks to strengthen legal safeguards and provide a dedicated platform for addressing issues affecting men. The proposed Bill will be subject to the parliamentary legislative process.
