Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that his visit to Indonesia would strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations. As part of his three-nation tour, he arrived in Jakarta on Monday, where he received a warm welcome from Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, who personally visited the airport along with senior ministers. Modi expressed his appreciation for the gesture on social media.
Adding to the significance of the visit, Modi’s aircraft was escorted by F-16 and Sukhoi-30 fighter jets upon entering Jakarta’s airspace, marking a unique welcome. After concluding his Indonesia visit, Modi is scheduled to travel to Australia on Wednesday. The tour is expected to further enhance bilateral relations.
