The Central Government has gone on alert amid rising tensions in West Asia. A high-level review meeting was reportedly held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Office today to discuss crude oil supply concerns and the possible economic impact on India. Officials are said to have reviewed the consequences of the ongoing regional crisis on fuel availability and market stability.
According to reports, the PMO has also formed seven special official teams comprising secretaries from various ministries to closely monitor the evolving situation. The Centre is focusing on oil reserves, supply chains, and price fluctuations to avoid disruptions caused by international geopolitical tensions.
