Modi and Murmu Condole Over Nepal Disaster

President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have expressed deep sorrow over the sudden floods and disaster in Nepal. President Murmu spoke to Nepal President Ram Chandra Paudel over the phone and assured him that India stands in solidarity with Nepal during this difficult time. Prime Minister Modi also spoke to Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah and conveyed his condolences. He said the people of India stand with their brothers and sisters in Nepal and assured that India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance.

The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu has set up emergency helpline numbers to assist Indian nationals stranded in the floods. Tourists can also contact the emergency numbers provided by the Nepal Tourism Board. The Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu are coordinating closely with Nepalese authorities to facilitate the rescue and assistance of stranded Indian citizens.
