The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is ensuring faster and smoother darshan for devotees at the Sri Venkateswara Temple through its Integrated Command and Control Center. With summer holidays driving a massive surge in pilgrim footfall, the system is playing a key role in monitoring queues, crowd movement, and temple surroundings using hundreds of CCTV cameras. Real-time digital surveillance allows officials to balance queues, deploy additional staff, and ensure timely services such as drinking water, food, and medical assistance.
TTD officials are continuously regulating queue lines at Narayanagiri sheds and Vaikuntam Queue Complex to prevent overcrowding and ensure a seamless flow of devotees. The system has significantly reduced waiting time and improved crowd management efficiency. On peak days, over 85,000 devotees are receiving darshan, while on regular days the number exceeds 75,000, with a record 91,005 devotees visiting on May 2.
