Miss Uganda Trivia Ellie Muhoza grabbed attention at the Miss World pageant in Vietnam with a unique gown that went beyond conventional fashion. Designed by Ugandan designer Keisha Abdalla, the outfit, titled Layers of Life, was inspired by motherhood and the journey of childbirth. The gown represents the layers associated with the female body and the different stages involved in a C-section, highlighting the pain, transformation and emotions connected with bringing a new life into the world.
According to the designer, the outfit uses shades of peach, gold, coral, red, maroon and burgundy to represent the different layers. Its flowing design symbolises the emotional journey and transformation associated with motherhood. Muhoza’s appearance in the gown has since gone viral on social media, with many praising Abdalla for using fashion to convey a meaningful message on an international platform and celebrate the strength of mothers.
