Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu launched Brilliance AI, an artificial intelligence software suite developed in Hyderabad for educational institutions. The launch event was held at Taj Deccan in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad. The platform is designed to support a range of academic activities, including question paper preparation, answer-sheet evaluation and student assistance through text- and voice-based features. It also offers technology to provide parents with reports on their children’s academic progress. Speaking at the event, the minister said technological advancements were bringing significant changes to education and that AI-based solutions could improve students’ learning experiences. He welcomed the growing use of educational technology for practice and learning, adding that integrating technology with traditional teaching methods could help deliver better outcomes.
Sridhar Babu also stressed the need for strong data protection, privacy and cybersecurity measures as AI becomes more widely used in education. Referring to concerns about examination paper leaks and data security, he said digital systems must be safeguarded and AI tools should be assessed for responsible functioning. He emphasised that accountability, transparency and responsible use were essential when adopting AI technologies. The minister said the government prioritised data privacy and security, including in the development of data centres, and called for technology-driven solutions to address challenges faced by educational institutions. He also referred to an EdTech 2025 survey, stating that 77% of children using educational technology reportedly used it for practice and learning.
