

State Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha emphasized the need to make Unani medical services more accessible to the public. On Monday, he conducted a review meeting at the Secretariat along with Health Secretary Christina and Charminar MLA Mir Zulfiqar Ali to assess the performance of the AYUSH department. The minister highlighted that the Government Nizamia Tibbi College and Nizamia General Hospital in Hyderabad are among the most prestigious institutions providing Unani healthcare in the state.
He assured that the government is committed to their development and directed the TGMSIDC Chief Engineer to expedite the ongoing construction of the OP block and pharmacy building at the hospital. The minister also instructed the department to prepare proposals for filling vacant posts of doctors, teaching faculty, and other staff, and submit them to the government to strengthen healthcare services.
