The All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists has called for a nationwide shutdown of medical shops tomorrow in protest against online medicine delivery services. As part of the bandh, more than 12 lakh pharmacies and medical stores across the country are expected to remain closed for one day.
The organisation stated that the protest is aimed at opposing the growing online sale and delivery of medicines, which they claim is affecting traditional pharmacy businesses and raising concerns over regulation and patient safety. The bandh is likely to impact medicine availability in several regions across India.
