MBBS, BDS Fees Hiked.. Higher Burden on PG Medical Courses

Students aspiring to pursue medical education in Andhra Pradesh, along with their parents, are set to face a higher financial burden. The state government has issued orders increasing fees for MBBS and BDS courses by 10% in private unaided medical and dental colleges. Fees for postgraduate medical courses have been increased by up to 15%. The hike is expected to raise annual fees for students seeking seats under both the convener and management quotas.

In contrast, Telangana has decided to continue with the existing fee structure in private medical and dental colleges. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences has directed colleges to refund any additional amounts collected from students in violation of the prescribed norms. Colleges have been instructed to follow TGAFRC and NMC guidelines strictly. The university also warned colleges against preventing students from attending classes over fee disputes or pending payments.
